Global Update: New Website, Desktop Client, and Contributor System!

Hi guys! Gro Repository has finally received its long-awaited update. It’s been quite a while, but I’m sure you’re going to love it!

Major Website Update

The website is now powered by a new framework that is much better suited for a mod repository. A dark theme is now available, and proper attention has been given to Search Engine Optimization (SEO). In a little while, it will be easier to find mods via search engines, which I hope will bring new people into the community. Also, whenever you share links with your friends -whether on Telegram, Discord, or X - you’ll see a proper preview for any page on the site.

Servers

Art-serious, a well-known mapper in the community, is now hosting the GroRepository.ru servers! Join the servers by downloading mods directly from the homepage! Thanks to the integration with the 333masternetworks master server API, you can now see how many people are currently playing on a server.

Desktop App

Finally, we are excited to introduce our desktop application - Grorep Desktop. Key Features:

  • Convenient access to over 400 mods – quickly find what you need using filters by tags, game, title, and author.
  • Three-language localization – Russian, English, and French.
  • One-click downloads – files are automatically downloaded straight into your game folder.
  • Launch maps and mods directly from the app, without having to look for them in the game menu.
  • Support for grorep://install links – install mods directly from the website or share links with friends.
  • Automatic scanning of your game folder for installed maps and modifications.
  • Integration with the 42amsterdam.net, allowing you to download over 350 assets.

Contributor System

You can now support the website directly. Apply via Discord to manage inactive assets on our end or upload your own. Your published work will be displayed on your profile.
