This is the first time I've actually had the motivation to sit down and complete a deathmatch map, I've tried many times with other games and editors to no avail, I just got sick of it. This map was created in the same vein as the GothicDM series for Doom/Doom2. The Serious Sam weapon balance is strikingly similar to Doom2, and GothicDM was a hell of a lot of fun to play, so I set out to create a map in a similar style, albeit in true 3d. The result is this. And yes it is a hell of a lot of fun to play, but unfortunately, like Doom2, the map only supports 4 players (only up to 3 has been tested, I think you could even go higher than 4 if you wanted, but it would get pretty damn cramped, let me know if there are any Serious problems, I will tweak the map) Although I prefer it this way, three friends and yourself, you get to know who you're fighting. I'm really sick of these huge 32 player deathmatch maps. This is cramped, fast paced, and well, Doom2 like. That was the goal basically. It has been tested and tweaked endlessly to try to prevent camping and create the best balance and above all, make it FUN. Kudos to my pal Voja for exploiting all the major camping spots in the map so I could fix them up (you're a f*cking camping whore, but thx) More thanks goes out to my friends whom I never see: Voja, Peter, and Dan, for helping me balance the map and giving me suggestions, they were a great help.
